Description

The entrance ticket to Machu Picchu is nominative (by the name and document number), for a specific date (any day of the year) and valid for half a day. This ticket can be used one time only. The entrance and the visit of the optional sites (Wayna Picchu, Machu Mountain and Museum) has a cost. This entrance cannot be sold separately and you must decide when you purchase online if you want to visit only Machu Picchu or Machu Picchu and one of the optional sites.

1. The Official price is the ticket price as sold by the Peruvian government. It is expressed in New Soles and for reference only and rounded up in American dollars because it is calculated with the current exchange rate ($1=3.2485 soles).

2. The Local rate applies for:

  • Peruvians: people with Peruvian nationality, with DNI, with residency in Peru or abroad.
  • Residents: foreigners with permanent residency in Peru and with their CE.
  • Citizens from the Andean Community: people with Bolivian, Colombian or Ecuadorian nationality.
3. The student rate applies for students with an International Student Identity Card (ISIC card) valid on the date of the visit. If the student is Peruvian or resident in Peru, the University card is accepted. Please notice that the student must have the card when purchasing.
4. The child rate applies for children from 8 to 17 years old included, age on the date of the visit.

Options

In addition to the entrance ticket you can add as an option an entrance to the site museum. The museum is located near Ruinas bridge before going up to Machu Picchu and the entrance allows the visit 1 time, on the date indicated on the ticket, from 9am to 5 pm. Please notice that there is no discount for the entrance to the museum.
